Since the 1980’s, Sterling has developed over four million square feet in New York City and the metropolitan area. Sterling has successfully completed projects ranging from urban Class “A” office towers and residential condominiums, to suburban multifamily communities and major sports complexes. In its role as consultant, Sterling Development serves as a valued in-house resource to the Sterling American Funds, in evaluating the scope and cost of capital improvements and deferred maintenance, as well as overseeing the implementation of upgrades. Recently, Sterling’s Construction and Development team oversaw the construction of Citi Field, the New York Mets’ new baseball stadium.
It has employed its expertise on behalf of governmental agencies, institutional and equity owners and partners, including affiliates of JPMorgan, Radio City Music Hall, Major League Baseball and The US Postal Service. Depending on the nature of the assignment, Sterling Development advises on all or selected phases of the development process from site evaluation and selection to sales and disposition.
